Kim is a nationally certified MRI Technologist with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and provincially licensed by the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO). She completed her MRI training at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) and obtained a BSc degree in Psychology from the University of Alberta specializing in behavioural and visual neuroscience.

Kim operates the 3T Siemens Tim Trio magnet, conducts and organizes safety and emergency training sessions, and maintains the Standard Operating Procedures and website for the facility. She joined the CFMM in 2009 as the 3T Unit Manager and MRI research technologist, and brings to this position a strong interest in research, imaging, anatomy, and pathology.
