Biography

Ali Khan is a Scientist at the Robarts Research Institute and tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Biophysics and Medical Imaging at Western University. He obtained his PhD in Engineering Science from Simon Fraser University, and did his post-doctoral work at Western University. His research employs computational anatomy techniques with and quantitative MRI to better understand brain anatomy and pathology for diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders. His work in epilepsy fuses patient imaging at 3T and 7T, tissue imaging at 9.4T, and histology to localize unseen lesions and improve surgical planning and intra-operative guidance.
